One of my favorite subjects to photograph are cholla's. Specifically teddy bear cholla's. No other cacti can hold luminance better than these during the early morning and late evening hours. To get this shot I had to position myself extremely close to exaggerate the prominence of the cacti. I wanted to frame the mountain peaks with the cholla's to act as a border and have the sky visible at the same time. The light did not disappoint, and I was able to leave the location with a handful of images I was pleased with including this.
