Follow almost any of the trails leading back from the falls.
I was on an Airstream Caravan (W.B.C.C.I.)that followed the Lewis and Clark trail to the Northwest region. I had never been to the Columbia River Gorge area. We camped nearby. After taking in the magnificent, much photographed falls, I hiked back in on one of the trails and found this landscape. I wished my camera could capture the crisp clean air and the sound of the creek as it rustled its way to the falls.
Many people visit the Columbia River Gorge area and look at the magnificent falls, without hiking back and seeing the creeks that feed the falls. I liked this one because of the creek leading my eye through an s-curve back into the mountains.
