A long weekend of shooting in unfavorable conditions had Jasper and I soaked to the bone. Rain fell everyday we were out photographing, but with the rain, came mood. Wonderful clouds poured over Red Peak and The Thorn as we approached along the Gore Range Trail. This being our primary destination for the area, the lake did not disappoint. Layered in lily pads, the new growth formed a unique contrast to the devastating beetle kill surround the area. Even though we were wet and cold, the shots were fun to scan through once in my warm apartment.
