I had hiked across the valley floor of Yosemite National Park to photograph some Aspen trees that were backlit and glowing. It turns out that the view up the canyon was amazing so I stopped to arrange this composition with the pines in the foreground dusted lightly with the overnight snowfall. The pines grab your attention early, but further inspection reveals the iconic summit of Half Dome in the background.
