5th Annual Nature’s Colors Photo Contest Winners
Grand Prize Winner Hua Zhu
Mt. Assiniboine
Congratulations to Hua Zhu who takes the Grand Prize in our Sony-sponsored 2012 Nature’s Colors Photo Contest. OP’s 5th Annual Nature’s Colors Photo Contest was made possible thanks to sponsorship by Sony and cosponsors Duggal, Gitzo, LumiQuest, Manfrotto, PNY and Tamrac. Their generosity enabled us to make the contest one of our best thus far.
“This photo was taken in Canada’s Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. Located on the border of British Columbia and Alberta, Mount Assiniboine isn’t accessible by road, leaving its natural beauty and unspoiled wilderness well preserved. In order to find the best view of the majestic mountain, we hiked for two hours to get to the top of Nub Peak, a post that awarded us with a wonderful and unobstructed view of Mount Assiniboine. At just about sunset, the warm sunlight shone across the top of the mountains, coloring the sky as the alpine larches turned a glorious and majestic gold color. The view was breathtaking.”
