The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is a resident of Oklahoma, and is rarely seen south or east of Texas. There was a rumor in our photography circle that this bird was in Florida, and close to the Viera Wetlands which attracts a lot of photographers. I went the 30 minutes to the Wetlands to see if I could capture just a look, and was able to see this beautiful bird perform for me for about 10 minutes. It was not seen in this area again. What a treat!
