Jackson Hole is within a day's drive. I frequently go there looking for beautiful Teton shots. I always strike out. Despite the overwhelming beauty that you get from standing there I have always had trouble capturing in a photo. This trip was no different. It was a very late fall, and despite arriving late, the colors still had not changed. Upsetting to say the least. I was not going to get the classic Oxbow Bend fall shot. But as I stood there looking in disgust at the greenish brown trees that fooled me again this year, the sunset opened up into a windless, peaceful, beautiful sky. I took a few pics, but mostly enjoyed the serenity in silence.
