Description

The Alabama Hills are a range very cool rock formations at the base of Mt. Whitney, (the highest mountain in the contiguous US) and literally, barely more than few blocks west of Main Street, Lone Pine, off Highway 395. The large and unique rocks have been the backdrop from hundreds of movies, from the Lone Ranger, Gunga Din, Rawhide, to Gladiator, Iron Man and Star Trek Generations.
