Home / Nature’s Colors 2019 / Hello Elizabeth, My name is Jerry Goffe. I am retired from the profession of forensic & legal evidence photography. Since retirement, my primary activities include teaching photography, leading workshops and doing nature and wildlife photography. I pride myself in teaching and watching the student create images well beyond snap-shots. You will over time develop your own style. You will create images that you can be proud of. Elizabeth, I would very much enjoy having you as a student. As a student, you will have two primary responsibilities during the course of learning photography with me. They are to ask questions and capture images. I start with an introductory workshop that consists of two to three hours in the classroom and then two to three hours of being on-location. These two introductory workshops are priced at $50.00 each. I start by teaching the basics of how the camera works and how you can and should control it. Included is how to get the proper exposure and a great image by prioritizing the three factors that make up exposure. Additional workshops will be designed after learning your needs and desires as a student, such as lighting, portraits, landscapes, nature & wildlife, B&W photography and/or post processing. My workshops are private and therefore you, the student, receive my full attention. Handouts will be provided for classroom workshops when necessary. Since I am a docent (volunteer) at the Albuquerque BioPark, our on-location workshops will be at the Botanic Garden which is great for nature, wildlife, landscapes and even outdoor & indoor portraiture.
