We waited almost 3 hours for this beautiful mother leopard and her cub to emerge from the bushes. Our guide told us they would only come out once all the other vehicles left. So we pulled out our boxed lunches and just sat and waited. Our guide was right - 20 minutes after the last jeep left, she and her cub emerged. Clearly, it was well worth the wait! I got incredibly lucky that she happened to pause in this spot (for 2 seconds) before continuing up into the darkness of the tree. Miraculously, this was the only spot on the tree that had any light coming through the canopy, and it just so happened to fall perfectly upon on her face.
