My wife and I had concluded our third day of hiking the trails in Crater Lake National Park, and the thought of shooting more photos wasn't on my mind at all. But just as we arrived at the Rim Village Restaurant, a storm rapidly started to build over the lake. It was sprinkling as we departed the car, and with the sun starting to set, something told me this might be a good time to have the camera with me. I was right. The restaurant's terrace, about 1000 feet above the lake's surface, afforded a jaw-dropping view of the storm's incredible wind effects over the lake. We were actually looking down into the storm. As it moved further into the lake, the setting sun to our left created an awesome double rainbow.
