The Withlacoochee River, Dunnellon, Fl, is at a very low level allowing the rocks to surface above the water line. The Cypress tree water marks indicate its normal level. The photograph came together as the morning mist rose out of the Cypress forest across the stillness of the river to present a wonderful image for this photographer in the swamp. The Withlacoochee River is one of only a handful of rivers that flows North. The image was shot using a Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 lens. I converted the photograph from color to black and white in Lightroom 4, then used Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 to add tonal contract and vignetting at the edges.
