This photograph was taken at Rainbow Springs State Park which has a history as a Phosphate Pit and an old zoo. The river was dredged for glass bottom boats and waterfalls from the Springs were built from the Phosphate trailings. The State of Florida acquired the property converting it into a park. The day was overcast and good light for shooting waterfalls. The photograph was taken with a Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 lens, Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod. I shot at 10sec at f/9 and utilized two ND filters (0.9 & 1.2) to create the blur. Originally in color the photograph was converted to black and white in Lightroom 4 and completed using the contrast and vignetting in Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.
