Starting in Munising, MI, travel east on main roundabout on M-28 along H-58 towards the Pictured Rocks National Park. Continue on H-58 for about 14 miles until you pass through an area known as Melstrand. Here you will see a sign for Chapel - Mosquito pointing to the left. Take this road (Chapel Drive) for a mile. Turn left on 695 (Camp Rd). After traveling about a mile follow the fork in the road to the right, then continue for about 3 miles. A parking lot will be on the left hand side and there should be plenty of signs along the way for 'Chapel Falls' to follow.
After parking, follow the trails to the north and take the one to the right for Chapel Lake/Falls. Pass over "Section Thirty-Four Creek" and remain on the trail until it meets the shoreline at Chapel Rock. This is about a 3 miles hike to this point. Follow the trail to the right along the shoreline and follow it for about 1.5 miles until Spray Falls quite literally flows under the trail. Some limited views can be had from along the shore.

I wanted to get a morning picture of Spray Falls in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along Lake Superior. So, my wife and I woke up early, drove to the access location within the National Lakeshore, and hiked in to reach a beautiful vantage point, reaching the location about 15 minutes before losing long light from the sunrise being cast on the falls. As we rested afterwards, we sat along the cliffs edge and watched the gulls rise and fall in the onshore breeze from the lake. The 4 mile hike in, followed by the 4 mile hike out was worth every step.
