I was in Death Valley National Park, and there was a forecast for very windy conditions. The forecast was spot on, and around sunset, the winds were about 45 mph sustained. I headed out with my camera, as these conditions are my favorite to photograph on the dunes. The wind kicked up the dust, creating a wonderful atmosphere that caught the glow from the setting sun. I noticed a small creosote bush in between the dunes. It was almost as if the bush was taking shelter from the storm in the protection of the dunes. It was a magical night to be out. The curves, lines and glow in the atmosphere made for a memorable photo.
