A couple miles off Mirror Lake Scenic Byway between Evanston, Wyoming and Kamas, Utah.
A last minute decision to drive to Christmas Meadow in the Uinta Mountains in late fall provided me with this stunning view. The late afternoon breezes slowed as the sun crept along the ridges of the mountains. The grasses of the valley floor turned deep red and gold and the glassy, Stillwater Fork of the Bear River perfectly reflected the snow covered, 12,718' Ostler Peak in the background and the clouds drifting over the meadow. I was the only one here as I watched the last light of day fade away.
