Shot was taken right at the base of the geyser.
In the early morning our photography group went out to look for wildlife to photograph, and we heard some coyotes howling in the distance. Two of the group members went out searching for the coyotes while the rest of us went to the base of Old Faithful to get pictures of some bison. About 20 minutes later, this coyote ambled up to the ridge around the geyser, stopped, seemingly posed, and then gave us a few howls. The light and cold just happened to work out and the coyote's breath misted as she/he howled. After that the coyote lopped off into the treeline.
