We had just finished photographing mating Leopards, a rare event that almost always occurs at night. Our ranger said this was only the third time in 18 years that he had observed that in daylight. A lone hyena wandered on the scene and began to walk towards the female leopard and she walked away slowly. When the hyena got too close, the leopard climbed up a tree with the hyena just sitting below. After a minute or two, the hyena walked away and the leopard came down. This occurred three times in the next 15 minutes before the hyena finally gave up an left the area.
