Description
The female puma woke up after a long nap. A big yawn followed by a characteristic cat stretch. Front paws extended forward, hind legs upright, bent back, and a curved tongue to round out the pose. She had to get the blood flowing and the muscles moving again. But swiftly afterwards, she commenced stalking guanacos. It is remarkable how quickly a hungry puma can move through the mountainous Patagonian terrain. Following closely by foot, Carlos was barely able to keep pace, but was fortunately in the right position as the puma pounced on the guanaco’s rump.
