The picture was shot at 100mm f/4.5, ISO 800, 1/200s in RAW format, then slightly sharpened, changed levels to boost shadow details, slightly adjusted color saturation, de-noised, and cropped to its final dimension then saved to jpg format. No other alteration was done to image.
When we were in a restaurant in Manuel Antonio, we notice a sloth in a cecropia tree in the forested slope just outside the window. Then it started to climb higher in the tree (because we were on higher ground, it reached our eye level at this point), and we noticed in surprise that a baby sloth was clinging to its back! The baby climbed up the body of its mother and was held by her, and there was just an opening in the foliage when the baby looked my way and I snapped a few precious pictures.
