Go in the Moran entrance of GTNP. Take state route 287 north. Cross the Pilgrim Creek bridge and continue about 1 mile. There is a large open meadow on both sides of the road between Pilgrim Creek Road and an unmarked road referred to as the "Dump Road". This is the meadow where the photograph was taken.

Grand Teton Grizzly # 793, a.k.a. "Blondie" as she is known by the "locals", is one of the lessor known Grizzly Bears of the Grand Teton area. However, she usually shows up with her cubs for 1-2 weeks every spring in the "Pilgrim Creek" area of GTNP. This is a "Golden Hour" image taken a little after sunrise in early May of 2019. She and her cubs were grazing along the highway about 60 yards off of the road. A group of us watched and photographed her for about 30 minutes until all three finally scurried across the road and into the woods towards Jackson Lake.
