Leopard Seal - We were waiting for hours along shallow lagoon, in a remote Plano, island off the Antarctic Peninsula, from the high tide to the low tide.
Like a clock the Leopard seal will get into the lagoon just prior to low tide. Put its head in the water and look from the outside like another rock at the receding water.
The young Gentoo penguins only than dare to get to the shallow water, when they get close enough to the Leopard seal, the seal turn its head a lighting speed catch one penguin by its feet and take it to the deep water, moving in undulating movement on it's belly.
When the seal get to the open water I get into the water and move parallel to it following its action. To my surprise it lets penguin go twice and every time the seal was chasing after it, like it enjoying the game and the penguin was escaping terrified. But the seal alway catch the penguin and eventually it drown it.
