Polar Bear cubs love to ride on their mother's back. It's safe and fun, but mothers have different ideas. Cubs need to walk on their own to build strength and be prepared for the long trek North when the ice melts under their feet. On this day, we spent several hours with this family while the family taking a mid day rest. When it was time to go, one of the cubs desperately tried to hang on to its mother's back as the family continues its journey.
