Antelope Flats Road, Jackson Hole Wyoming
While on a photography trip to the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole Wyoming, I came upon a handsome Bull Pronghorn grazing in the grassy plains of Antelope Flats. I slowly made my way into the tall grasses as to not spook these usually skittish creatures. This particular Pronghorn appeared to be fairly tolerant of my presence as he was more concerned with continuing to eat. Once I got within a reasonable distance with a pleasant background, I sat motionless, well hidden in the tall grasses. After several minutes, my patience paid off, as he rewarded me with close pass as he seemed to accept me as a non threatening entity, but all the while staying vigilant on high alert for his harem of female Pronghorns that were bedded down in the distance. I waited for him to casually make his way back to his herd before I got up and walked out of this field as I wanted to soak up as much of this experience as possible.
