While driving around Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada, we spotted a black bear with three cubs along side the road (this picture was taken from the car). The mom started to walk towards another bear in the bushes, while these two cubs stood up for a better view. Within seconds after this picture was taken the cubs took off up a tree, while the mom charged at what we assumed was a male bear. The mom got within about 20 feet of the male bear, turned around and took off, with the male bear in hot pursuit. They ran around our car once, and then off into the forest. An amazing experience!
