Photo taken with a Nikon D850 camera, 200~500/f5.6 lens set at 260mm, f6.3 aperture and 1/5000 second, ISO-4000.
I was in a blind patiently waiting/hoping birds would come to particular perch which had a little bird feed (hidden) to help attract them. As they come in I would fire off a burst in hopes of getting the image I had imagined. This Long-billed Thrasher was coming in for a landing with a female red-winged blackbird watching. The idea was to shoot at a very high shutter speed, at least 1/5000 second, set camera to continuous high-speed release mode, compose how you would like image to be, and have a little luck. Many of my images came up with no bird(s) in the image, but it was fun trying to get the right action photo.
