An Ezo red fox sits in falling snow watching as a line of photographers concentrate their lenses on a herd of Yezo sika deer. As I passed the group photographing the deer I spotted this stunning fox and knew I had to capture the moment. The only other person who noticed was a young boy out with his father (who was focused on the deer). The boy and I shared a knowing look and a smile as the fox languidly trotted off a few minutes later into the growing snowstorm.
