Since moving to Sweden in 2019 I have brought along my passion for the outdoors and all of its wondrous creatures, climate and challenges. I inherited this from my parents and have cultivated my desire to be outside with nature since my earliest memories. in fact my earliest memory is catching frogs in the outback of Australia where I was raised.
This photograph was taken on a private expedition in central Värmland where I was hoping and attempting to get close to a new species that I was not familiar with yet, the European Roebuck. Under the cover of mature tall summer grasses I was able to close the distance to this female (doe) and get one shot before my movement which would acknowledge my presence would cause her to make an immediate and hastily escape from view.
