A Great Frigatebird is a highly mobile and wide ranging seabird in the Hawaii Islands. On Kauai, these long-winged and highly aerial seabirds seem to float almost effortlessly in mid-air as they wait for other seabirds to come near, so to steal food from other birds. The range of flight has been recorded, covering a distance of almost 10,000 miles! They can not land on water. The distinctive shape of the Great Frigate, with its long forked tail, long pointed wings, long straight bill and up to 7.5 foot wingspan.
