12km strait to the south from the Sevastopol city, one of the biggest cities in Crimea (Ukraine).
I took this photograph using long exposure technic to show the definite feeling with which this place is usually associated.
The legend says that in 890 several Greeks were captured by a horrible storm on the rock eastwards the Phiolent Cape. Feeling inevitable death, the miserable people started to pray George the Winner asking for protection. A miracle occurred: the storm was immediately over and the image of St. George appeared on the rock. Since then the rock with cross signs salvation due to the history and unearthly scenery.
