Really Right Stuff TFC-14: Ultimate Travel Tripod?
Really Right Stuff’s TFC-14 carbon fiber tripod is its lightest and most compact tripod yet, 11 percent lighter and 15 percent more compact than the TQC-14. Designed for use with the BH-30 ballhead, the pair can support camera and lens combinations up to 25 pounds. The TFC-14 by itself weighs just 2.3 pounds and, fully collapsed, measures 17.2 inches in length and 3.2 inches in diameter, making it easily packable.
The Apex mount has three perimeter mounting sockets to attach accessories like the Really Right Stuff Mobile Phone Clamp & Stand. The tripod also offers a removable hand strap that can be used for convenient carrying and allows you to use your own body weight to enhance stability.
The TFC-14 can get as low as 2.8 inches from the ground or extend to a maximum height of 47.6 inches. The four-section legs feature ratcheting angle stops and rubber twist locks for fast adjustments. List price: $795 (head sold separately). Contact: Really Right Stuff, reallyrightstuff.com.
