Tamron Announces New Educational Purchase Rebate Program for Students

New Program Now Allows Tamron Dealers to Deliver Lenses Purchased by Qualifying Students and Educators on Same Day of Purchase
December 31, 2007, Commack, NY — Tamron USA, Inc. announced it has revamped its popular Educational Purchase Program effective January 1, 2008. Instructors employed by & students enrolled in select U.S. universities and community colleges and teaching or majoring in photography, photojournalism, visual media, fine art, design, film, video, or communications are eligible for significant rebates on Tamron products. In addition, the Tamron Educational Purchase Rebate can be combined with any regular Tamron rebate in effect at the time of purchase.

“The new program allows students to visit any Tamron dealer and take their newly purchased lens home with them,” stated Stacie Errera, Chief Marketing Officer for Tamron USA, Inc. “Previously, students had to visit the store to pay for their lens and then go back to the store after their specially-registered lens was available.” Tamron believes the new rebate-driven program is more convenient for both the purchasing student or instructor and the dealer.
