Episode 1: Lake Tahoe | Special Guest: Patrick Nagle
Andre and Ken witness stunning sunrise light, then hit the slopes in Lake Tahoe, California, to catch skiers and snowboarders mid-air, using high-speed flash sync techniques and the Tamron SP 15-30MM ƒ/2.8 Di VC USD.
Episode 2: Los Angeles | Special Guest: Armando Flores
The guys tour the greater Los Angeles area with the versatile Tamron 28-300MM ƒ/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD, from the San Andreas fault near Lancaster, to multiple tamale tastings and ending up at the Santa Monica pier for sunset.
Episode 3: Seattle | Special Guest: Jillian Bell
A “bucket-list” destination for guest Jillian Bell, the gang explores downtown Seattle attractions, make a side trip to Mr. Rainier in search of wildflowers and take a ride on an antique train through sublime rainforest scenery.
Episode 4: Route 66 | Special Guest: Jeff Allen
Tamron Tech rep Jeff Allen joins the guys for a photo adventure along iconic Route 66. Headed west from Winslow, Arizona, stops include historic Hackberry General Store, a nighttime neon light shoot in Kingman and a visit to Petrified Forest National Park.
Episode 5: Washington, D.C. | Special Guest: Erica Robinson
After a series setbacks, Andre and Ken finally meet up with Tamron Tech Erica Robinson to photograph iconic locations around Washington, D.C., and Great Falls Park, then head off to Assateague Island National Seashore in search of wild horses.
Season 1
Episode 1: Death Valley
Undaunted by a disappointing sunrise and dreary weather, Andre and Ken hike the dunes of Death Valley trying to make the best of less-than-ideal conditions, then hit the road for Zion National Park, where they have better luck with the weather and light.
Episode 2: The Racetrack
A rugged road sets they guys off on a rocky start as they head to The Racetrack Playa in Death Valley in search of the mysterious “sailing stones”.
Episode 3: Checkerboard Mesa
Rain and wet snow threaten to dampen their prospects as Andre and Ken head to Checkerboard Mesa in Zion National Park, but a change of fortune leads to successful early morning long exposures and a break in the weather after dawn.
Episode 4: Horseshoe Bend & Antelope Canyon
Another early morning start is starting to wear on the guys at Horseshoe Bend in Arizona, but they’re rewarded with beautiful pre-dawn light. They then make their way to Antelope Canyon to do some slot canyon photography.
Episode 5: Mono Lake & The Toadstools
Seeking sunset light at Mono Lake, Andre and Ken come away with some beautiful compositions of the lake’s rocky shoreline, then set off for The Toadstools to do some night photography under starry skies.
Episode 6: Grand Canyon
In Season 1’s final episode, the sleepy adventurers are running late for a sunrise shoot at Grand View Point on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but arrive in time to find low, moving clouds below the rim and the warm illumination of the rising sun.
