William Neill’s “Antarctic Dreams” Now Available

Antarctic Dreams

Photographer and OP "On Landscape" columnist William Neill wasn't planning to travel the nearly 9,000 miles from his home in California to the Antarctica Peninsula three weeks later, but when the call came from the team at The Luminous Landscape photographic workshops asking Bill to replace an instructor who was unable to go, he started packing for a photo adventure that most of us will only dream about.

Antarctic Dreams

This fall, his portfolio from the trip, Antarctic Dreams, opened as an exhibition at the Weston Gallery in Carmel, California, which I was fortunate to attend in person, and is now available as an eBook. The five-day adventure took the group from Frei Station on King George Island in the north to the Yalour Islands in the south, with multiple stops along the way to photograph some of the most fascinating places on earth. The book presents Bill's images of dramatic vistas, wildlife interactions and abstract "icescapes," along with daily journaling about the experience.

The 115-page eBook includes 79 photographs, and comes in a standard PDF version plus a version optimized for tablet viewing for $15, available now. A hardbound deluxe edition will also be available soon. For more information: http://www.williamneill.com/store/ebooks/Antartic-Dreams/index.html.
